♪Music & memory
Scientifically plausible. Honestly explained.
Music is not a learning miracle. Rhythm, melody, active production and repetition can make language practice more engaging and frequent.
What research suggests
A randomised adult study reported stronger short-term recall of unfamiliar foreign-language phrases when they were sung rather than spoken or rhythmically spoken.
Another study linked repeated listening to English songs with vocabulary learning. Effects depend on repetition, attention, material and the learner.
How we apply it
- Short units with limited vocabulary
- Purposeful repetition instead of musical overload
- Lyrics and translations shown together
- No medical, educational or success guarantee
